Appointments
We understand appointments with specialist can be an anxious time, especially when you don’t know what to expect. Here at Border Physicians Group, we try to avoid lengthy waits by preparing you for your appointment before your first visit.
Referrals
We require ALL referrals prior to any appointments being made at our rooms.
All referrals are triaged by the doctor and you will be contacted to arrange an appointment date and time.
Referrals can be emailed to reception@borderphysicians.com.au or faxed to 02 6021 3317.
Referrals last 12 months from your GP and only 3 months if a specialist is referring you. The referral does not start until your first visit with us. Our practice does not accept indefinite referrals. It is your responsibility to make sure that you have a current referral for all appointments with us. If you are not sure please call our rooms to confirm on 02 6021 7211.
Confirming Appointments
As we are a very busy specialist practice we require all of our appointments to be confirmed. We will send you an SMS about a week before and you need to reply Y to this SMS to confirm your attendance. You can also call our rooms to confirm your appointment if preferred on 02 6021 7211.
Failure to Attend
If you fail to attend your confirmed appointment, you will be charged a non refundable fee of $50 for each appointment missed. You will not be rebooked until this fee has been paid. We make every effort to confirm your appointments as a courtesy to you, so we expect that if you confirm you will attend.
Cancellation Policy
We require a minimum of 24 hours notice for a cancellation of an appointment. We request this notice to allow our other patients the opportunity to be offered your appointment time. If you cancel with less than 24 hours notice you will be charged a $50 late cancellation fee.
