Annabel Martin
Annabel has completed her FRACP in Nephrology, working at St George, Royal Melbourne and The Alfred Hospitals. She has also trained in Obstetric Medicine at The Royal Women's Hospital in Melbourne. Annabel was drawn to Nephrology and Obstetric Medicine by the general nature of these specialities, as both require review and management of multiple areas of a patient’s health. She has a gentle approach and keen desire to provide holistic, evidence based care to her patients.
Annabel has a special interest in medical education and has completed a graduate certificate in Health Professional Education. She has developed and coordinated a Nephrology course for first year nephrology trainees, which has been well received by the Australian and New Zealand Society of Nephrology. This course enabled first year nephrology trainees to receive education on common clinical scenarios they would encounter throughout their training and career, enabling them a more effective and comfortable start to their training. Annabel’s interest in medical education comes from a desire to both consolidate her own learning and facilitate the learning and growth of colleagues and junior medical staff.
